My World of Parkinsonian Delights

A Night I'd Rather Forget Caused By Forgetfulness

It was 1 a.m.  I woke up as Gail came back into the room from going potty and taking the beasts out to the yard.  I settled back and waited for sleep to come over me again.

And waited.

And waited.

And waited.

And laid there with stupid songs running through my head.  (For some reason, last night’s selections were from Gilbert and Sullivan’s wonderful creation, “The Mikado.”)

And waited.

And sleep just wouldn’t come.

I was comfortable.  Well, my left shoulder aches a bit, but not enough to keep me awake.

3 a.m. went by.  Then 4 a.m.  Around 5, Raven began walking from bed to bed doing that ear flapping thing she does when she wants to wake you up without being TOO obnoxious about it.  Gail told her to lay down.

I drifted and dozed a bit.  I wondered why I was having such trouble getting back to sleep.

At around 6:10, Raven came by my bed and flapped her ears again.  I figured enough was enough, so I struggled out of the sack, took her out, took Shiloh out, then went to take my morning pills.

Mystery solved.

The reason I had such a crappy night was right before my eyes.  Despite the alarm on my iPhone set to go off at 8:30 p.m. to remind me to take my nitey-nite pills, I had forgotten to take them.  We were having so much fun watching TJ play with the dogs last night, and were enjoying a nature show, and I just turned off the alarm when it went off and forgot to take my Ambien and Klonopin.

Duh.

Me so stoopit sometimes.
