My World of Parkinsonian Delights

I'm More Machine Than Man!

Check it out.  Had a chest x-ray done today (to get a baseline for pneumonia or other breathing difficulties later on), and this is the first look I’ve ever had at the deep brain stimulation neurotransmitters buried just under my fat pad, right under the collarbones.

Cool.  You can almost read the circuitry!  And the little stereo wires running up to my neck… I’d love to see an x-ray of my head, but I haven’t had a reason to get one.  Yet.

If you look closely, you can also see three little staples they put in my right shoulder when I had rotator cuff surgery 12 years ago.

Medical stuff is COOL!

Just for grins, here’s the lateral view — spine on the left, chest on the right.  (Good lord, look at that curve in my upper spine!”
